We’ve got a new video out via Dex One for Loc’d Life! This is my very first one, shot in Chicago, and talking about www.locdlife.com, our blog (click on the blog link!), and our printed volumes 1 and 2. If you haven’t gotten your copy yet, get them now!
We will feature a new video each month, entitled Loc’d Life TV, with loctician interviews, tips on loc care and maintenance, and interesting people with locs doing interesting things. Watch for the next monthly installment.
Thanks to Nadra Smiley of Amazon Natural Essentials for doing my hair in a two-strand twist style, which is versatile enough to wear twisted or loose for a curly look. For the shoot, I took down the twists which culminated in a cascade of curls. It’s an ideal style works your options.
To do, I started off with a fresh loc maintenance with the latchhook stitch, done skillfully Nadra. Take two loc strands and then another two loc strands and twist each of them to the ends. Secure the ends with a rubberband. You can wear the twisted style for a while, then achieve another curly style, once untwisted. Sit under a warm hooded dryer to set. Don’t forget to use a good oil to moisturize locs and scalp and a good loc gel for hold.
There you have it! My first video! Tune in for future installments. The best is yet to come!
‘Till next time,
